Books I read in August!

I finished these books via audible and I loved them all. I’ve been wanting to get back into reading but find it hard for me to find the time to actually find the time to grab a book to read. I will eventually though but for now audio books work just fine for me. I like to listen to them while I work and before bed.

Black Girls Must Die Exhausted: being a black woman in her thirties a lot of the topics were very relatable to me and I’m sure a lot of other black women. You build a connection with the main character and her thought process. Can’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy.

The starter ex: This is only available in audible. I absolutely loved this one. It was a more light hearted, funny, and a romance. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but this was such a fun read if you are looking for something different to read. I really loved to see how much the main character grew throughout the story.

Miss Pearly’s Girls: Whew this one was heavy and I didn’t expect it. This story had really complex characters and so much history and turmoil that was exposed as the plot went on. This is an ABSOLUTE must read. As the story went on I grew to understand why the characters where the way they were. It made me be more open to other peoples perspectives.
