Productive Mode 🔛🔝 Sem 3 Experience

Hello Lemonallies 🍋

It has been AGES since I even post any content due to the crazy amount of assignments and reports 😔 but anyways Sem 3 about to come to an end so here's a brief recap on what happened throughout my hiatus ✨

🎀 Active Club Mascot 🎀

I am currently the club's president (Japanese Cultural Club) and to recruit new members to join the club, we all needed to give our all to attract them. Similar tactics like previous, I cosplayed a character as people are intrigued by eye-catching appearance. If last time I dressed up as Kaito Kid, this time I dressed as Furina.

Considering she is a well-known character for her behaviour and a meta character in terms of playstyle, people easily recognized the character and took multiple photos and joined the club as there are people who share the same passion as them. Be it cosplay or makeup or even Japanese culture as a whole, the club welcomed all kinds of people.

🎀 Events and Collaborations 🎀

Being active in ECA and academics, I've attended several events throughout the semester to oversee the event flow and even planning events. Meeting different kinds of people from different walks of life made me evaluate of my own skills as well as taking into account on how I deal with them better to ensure things goes smoothly as expected.

Events I've attended include the C2AGE event at Jaya Shopping Centre on September as a booth vendor, Career Fair and Student Discovery Workshop. Fun fact: I injured my foot so bad the day of the event so I ended up wearing slippers throughout the weekend and the weekdays that I had classes due to the severity of the wound. (Even with that in mind, it didn't stop me from cheering for my club mates even from 3 floors above 🥳).

Speaking of the Student Discovery Workshop, I worked as a volunteer for the event to teach high school students about my course. It was a great experience teaching them and shared my knowledge on biomedical science as I am passionate of my course (although I rarely ask questions as my brain doesn't process information easily 🧠). The students were so enthusiastic it made my day better and the whole lab could hear my voice due to the voice projection was loud I never realised it 💀

Like imagine from one end to another end of a room like around 7 to 8 laboratory benches away (well for your imagination the total distance will be like almost 14 to 15 long tables of buffet food). Yea, that's how loud I was without mic 😔

🎀 Popup Booths 🎀

I did organize some popup booths alongside my senior to raise funds for our club as well as promoting events. This one in particular I made my crush took care of my booth while I went for a bit as a joke 😂 I took a picture of it because he just looked cool at that time (ofc I kena scold AHAHAHAHAHA very normal for us to play around)

🎀 Academics 🎀

More labs, more discoveries, more tears and pain 😭 Reports piling up like a huge mountain but I managed to reduce it a lot due to proper time management. I attended counselling sessions which helped me a lot in my opinion because I am shaping myself to be a better version of me in the future as well.

Laughter, tears and relief, all those emotions came into play for the semester. I cried when my mouse died but then it was the name of science, even though at that particular time the mouse should still be alive. Lots of things discovered and I will say, it is the beauty of biology that made me love all of these findings throughout the semester 🥺
