WHAT COLORS SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY PHOTOSHOOT?

PART 1: COMPLIMENTARY COLORS

Before a shoot, we get asked all the time, “What are the best colors to wear for our family shoot?”

Even if you’re not planning to have professional photographers take your photos, coordinating colors with your family and the environment will help even your phone photos stand out more!

Today’s all about Complimentary Colors!

We all learned about the color wheel in elementary school and we learned that complimentary colors are those opposite of each other. For example, blue and orange, yellow and purple and in our photo above, red and green.

The reason these colors look good paired together is because different photoreceptors in our eye perceive light differently with these color combos. They seem to balance each other just like how opposites attract 😉

So next time you head out for a family adventure, consider checking out what colors your environment will be and have your family wear the opposite color on the color wheel! Your photos will POP and be soothing to the eye!
