💔 how to deal with failure & rejection

Before I made the choice to take a career break, I took a month to process my feelings of loss and rejection. Here are some important things I learned

1️⃣ No one intentionally wants to fail

Every decision you make is the best one you thought for yourself. If you make a ‘bad’ choice that definitely leads to failure, perhaps it is your subsconscious way to protect yourself. Either you fight or flight!

2️⃣ Help begins with me

You probably know at least one person who can or has given you advice. But only you can crawl out of the pit yourself.

3️⃣ My definition of success can change over time.

Missing out on studying overseas because of my finances AND underperforming grades was painful. But I eventually realised I can (1) travel overseas by myself (2) pursue my Masters overseas after getting enough work experience.

Sometimes you need to let go of a closed door to free your hands up for an open door!
