questions to ask yourself before traveling part 2

Here are some more questions to ask yourself before traveling! Part 2 of my series.

Am I more spontaneous or am I a planner? If you are more spontaneous and don’t love to plan things out, perhaps you don’t want to make a detailed itinerary. I would still recommend researching the place to know where you are going/have an idea of what you want to do. On the contrary, if you are detail-oriented, you may want to create an extensive itinerary and conduct a lot of research.

What kind of social setting do I thrive best in? This is a great question to ask in deciding who you want to travel with or if you want to travel alone. While I am a huge extrovert, I personally love traveling with one friend or in a small group because that is the setting I thrive best in and have the most enjoyable experiences.

What kind of balance do I seek? Do you want to be traveling from dawn to dusk or do you want a mixture of chill and more active activities? Again, this is helpful in planning your itinerary, but also factoring in time for rest, whether that is time alone from friends, getting ample sleep, or taking a break.
