starting a garden

want to hear advice that is probably frustrating but has the most truth to it? just start.

I remember scrolling through social media and seeing these big beautiful gardens. I wanted one so bad but didn't know where to start. do I start with building the big fence? buying the 10 raised beds? the giant greenhouse to go with it?

I didn't need any of that. I needed a packet of seeds and somewhere to plant them. I made a small raised bed because I was living in town and didn't have room to plant in the ground. I grew cucumbers and peas. two very easy crops to grow. I tried to grow bell peppers and carrots but failed miserably. I failed so badly that I had a weed growing in the spot of my bell pepper plant that I thought was the plant all summer long. at the end of the summer, nothing had grown on it, and I realized it was just a freaking weed.

I've come a long way since then and have expanded my garden each year in hopes of having that big beautiful garden one day. so just start. start where you are at and go/fail from there
