Agoraphobia In The City - 3/8/24

I was super motivated because I really didn't want to be alone anymore, especially on days when my family would go somewhere without me. By starting with my neighbors I felt I had "back up" support whenever I felt alone, taking away some of the pressure to be there for me from my family. It helped me to show up for local activities that I was curious and/or excited about. The anxiety was always there but over time got easier to manage. When I was homebound I began by going to virtual events--checking out #anxiety groups on FB and Reddit for guidance. Start small. There are still plenty of things I still don't feel safe doing anymore BUT still a work in progress.
