How to SCORE A+ for Prinsip Perakaunan in SPM ✨

Tips💡:

1. Buy Pelangi & Oxford exercise books 📚

For me, I only used these 2 books for additional exercises with ANSWERS throughout form 4 & form 5. The Pelangi form 4 exercise book is pretty thick and has ALOT of questions for you to practice so you don't have to buy any other exercise book for form 4 syllabus.

I would try to at least do ONE full set of KBAT question for each Modul for f4 & f5 before exam, so you probably have to plan out your schedule to touch every topic. For example, you can set a goal and plan out your time to at least do one set of Akaun Perdagangan dan Untung Rugi, Penyata Kedudukan Kewangan, & Persamaan Perakaunan for the day/night.

2. Don't mix up the concepts 😵‍💫

At first, some people might not know what to do with the given information on the question and start to panic/ blank out. It could be caused by the fact that students mix up which principle to use & in the end leave the paper blank.

❗Don't forget these core principles :

▪️Sistem Catatan Bergu (For buka Akaun)

▪️Aset = Liabiliti + Ekuiti Pemilik (For Persamaan Perakaunan)

▪️AB = LEH (For baki Akaun)

[Baki debit : Aset & Belanja]

[Baki kredit : Liabiliti, Ekuiti Pemilik, & Hasil]

▪️Belanja Prabayar = Aset, Hasil Belum Terperoleh = Liabiliti

▪️Susut Nilai Aset Bukan Semasa = Belanja (Ingat Kaedah garis lurus & Kaedah baki berkurangan)

▪️Sistem Panjar (For Buku Tunai Runcit)

▪️Jurnal Khas (Jurnal Belian, Jurnal Jualan, Jurnal Pulangan Belian, Jurnal Pulangan Jualan) = Untuk Invois

Buku tunai = Untuk Cek/Resit (Yang pakai cash)

3. Watch Youtube videos on tutorials 📺

I used to watch playlist videos on how to do and learn the basics for accounting.

Even if you don't understand why this or that happens in accounting, just learn and memorise the way to record the transactions. After a while of slowly getting the hand of it, you'll be able to catch up for the following syllabus. (Do check out the playlist screenshot for reference, it helped me alot to record Buku Tunai & Jurnals when I was starting form 4)

4. Do short effective notes 📝

It will serve as reminders for you on which principles/ what to do when you're given various types of information/ transactions on the test paper.

5. Do WELL in your Prinsip Perakaunan project in form 5

It covers 20 MARKS in your SPM and it really helps BOOST your passing rate or boost your chances of getting A+. You can ask your seniors for help with what to do/ ask if they are willing to share the computer format of the project and discuss among friends on how to complete it. Do it well and you will feel much relieved in the examination hall because you already know you have 18-20 marks in your hands.
