How to find the best sunsets!

I spend a lot of time outside and it’s always extra magical when the sky is really colorful at sunset. When there are those pinks, oranges, purples, etc! 💖

While often times it can be just good *luck*…

I do have some tools that have been very helpful in predicting if the sunset will be ✨epic✨

I like to use two different sky-predicting apps!

My favorite is called MySunset

MySunset breaks things down by telling you the percentage that there will be a colorful sky. If there is a higher percentage (70%, 80%, 90%, etc) it is more likely that there will be tons of color in the sky 😍

On this app you can choose three different locations to keep an eye on, which is super helpful to plan and decide where to go in the evenings!

Another app I love for sunsets is called Alpenglow. This tells you predictions on the sky in percentages and also by “poor, fair, good, great” categories. But my favorite part about this one is how it breaks down the light times. It will tell you when it will be first light, morning blue hour, morning golden hour, sunrise, daytime, evening golden hour, sunset, evening blue hour and last light. This is so helpful when planning travels and also taking photos! I also really love that this app gives you a notification when there’s “one hour til sunset!” It really helps me not miss sunsets as often 🫶🏼🌄
