Hi, lemonbabes 🍋!

Today, I want to share about these financial tips I have been working on as a part-time content creator and full-time student at UiTM.

It’s a challenge for me to balance my financial needs at first but sooner rather than later I learned from my mistakes about how I handle my money since I stay alone to take my degree in Melaka!

So, how I encounter these financial challenges?

1. I make budget 📋 wisely every month.

I make sure to list out things that I need to pay every month and tick it off once I settled it.

Some of it is auto deducted from my account so I just need to make sure that there’s money in the bank 😂.

Sometimes I did other part time job 😮‍💨 other than being content creator, so I list out my income to know how much money I make for that month and how to deduct it for my expenses like my university fees, groceries, transportation, etc.

By doing this, I can see my monthly bank flow and where my money is going so I can make adjustments on it.

2. Build an emergency 🆘 fund in your bank account.

I make sure that I have push aside my income money for my emergency funds every month.

If I need money to pay someone or something in short time, I can use that funds if it REALLY is necessary and emergency ‼️.

I use MAE bank 🏦 apps for my emergency funds, all you need to do is- download the app, sign in your account, click "Tabung" on the quick actions section, and create "Tabung" with the name and amount goals that you want!

📌 You can make the "Tabung" to be auto deduct every month or you can transfer it manually every month.

3. Minimize unnecessary spending 💸 on shopping.

This is big CHALLENGE because I love shopping 🛍️ online whenever there is a SALE I make sure to check out my cart 🫣 which is I would say it’s a big problem for me.

Whenever I’m bored I will just scroll H&M app to window shopping for new clothes and here’s the funny 😆 story,

I once thought that the H&M app wouldn’t approve my check-out for the items that I want because it’s already past 12 a.m. 🫣 usually they have their system under maintenance at that time but suddenly I got notification that the money in my bank account have been deducted.

So, I was surprised but later told myself I deserved it 😂 for what reason I don’t know HAHAHA.

However, DO NOT do what I have done ‼️ try cut down your self reward even you feel like you need it.

Try to cut down on cafes hunting (which is cost 💲 much more than you know) and eat at home instead. Learn to cook your favorite meals, then you appreciate your time and save more money.

Try out free entertainment like going to "Botanical Gardens" 🪴 at Ayer Keroh, Melaka. It’s a recreational park that you can go with friends with free entrees.

I think that’s all at the moment, ttyl 😘.

Love, Adlina 💌
