Savings in Your 20s Now or Regret Later 😢

Tonight, I'd like to discuss some incredibly simple money-saving techniques that are ideal 👍🏻 for students and recent graduates who have just begun their careers.

In 2019, I worked as a Starbucks Barista, and during my early years of college, I managed to save a significant amount of money 🤑 by following these strategies.

Well, here I summarise some saving tips that can be applied. Let's see what tips!

📌 Write every expense the first step to starting to save is figuring out how much money you have spent. I begin to write down all expenses for daily needs, for example, food and transportation. Record all financial expenses in the simplest way possible, such as using a pencil and paper or the notion application on my iPad.

📌 Prioritize the key points after knowing the expenses, we will indirectly determine the goals to be achieved with these savings. I start buying only the essentials. Consider it seriously before deciding to buy something ‼️.

I’ve realized that it don’t let myself regret after spending my savings on things that are actually useless.

📌 Start small. I read online which according to Clark Howard, a consumer expert, saving should start with a small amount first, but keep doing it.

It's better to keep saving, even if it's a small amount, than not saving at all 💯 If done regularly, undoubtedly this habit will continue, and indirectly, I will save larger and larger amounts.

📌 Bring cash as needed. I try to bring cash only as needed. This is to avoid myself from the temptation to spend more cash.

Thus, I indirectly save the money I’ve set aside (which I don't bring with me) but lately, I've been facing some difficulty because I've been relying on Apple Pay on my iPhone 😭 more frequently than using physical cash.
