A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas ❄️

- I’ll be frank, this book was AGONY for me to get through. I was not a fan of the altering first person and third person perspectives. I feel this book does an ok job with the transition into A Court of Silver Flames, but at times I found myself asking “Is this necessary?”.

- To be spoiler free, it’s a christmas special which is a nice reprieve from the heavy themes in the series. Like Disney channel movies for the holidays that have not much of an impact on the overall story, but are feel good and provide minimal insight into the characters. I could have done without it and it’s my least favorite in the series.

- THAT BEING SAID, I know that many won’t share the same opinion. I have a history of not doing well with alternating perspectives and this is just one of those books. I loved getting to see our characters happy and healing together (most of them at least) but I wanted more movement as far as plot and story goes. It wasn’t for me but if you loved this book I am so glad! It was just a tough one for me 🥺
