Ever since I started being more active and getting into powerlifting recreationally, I started taking these supplements to improve my overall health, plus my well-being! Here are my supplements in my current rotation ~
For muscles:
1. Whey protein powder 💪🏻
A classic staple in every gym goer’s pantry, this supp is usually taken after every workout session. I usually make my protein shake with milk or yoghurt so it tastes better! Unfortunately this makes me bloat sometimes so I have to drink it slowly with a straw.
1. Collagen peptide powder 🐮
The newest supplement in my rotation. I’ve been eyeing on this for awhile now and I finally bought it! I got this for my joints (but you can take this to fill your protein intake also) and I like how you can add it to almost anything (even your food) but this is quite expensive. I got this on sale at Lazada - 2 tubs (567g) for $99.
1. Creatine 🤠
Did you know Creatine is the most researched supp in the world? I only started creatine 2 months ago and I have yet to see obvious results. You have to be consistent with this supp - you should be taking it everyday once you start taking creatine!
For overall health:
1. Calcium & Magnesium tabs: bone health 🦴
I never had issues with my bone health (never suffered fractures before) but I feel I need this because I don’t get enough from my food.
1. Superfood Greens powder: overall immunity, gut health 🌟
Honestly only bought this to try after seeing so many fitness influencers endorsing it
🙃 I bought the Biofinest brand to try in coconut flavour, and this will be my first and last time trying this flavour.
1. Fish oil soft gels: reduce inflammation 🐟
Typical staple supp in everyone’s pantry.
1. Evening primrose oil: improve menstrual health, fight acne 🌼
A friend suggested me to take this after seeing my acne and oily skin. To be fair my skin’s status depends on what part of the menstrual cycle my body’s on 😖 After doing some readings on this supp, it is said to help reduce period cramps.
*please note that I am not endorsing any of these products! I only purchased them after doing a lot of articles (scientific journals) the best is to always consult a certified physician for advice 👩⚕️
