Dance convention advice

As a dancer I know that conventions can be intimidating. It’s a big room with at least 75 other dancers with instructors you don’t know.

Here is some advice:

- don’t care what others think of you. Dance is and art form as well as a sport every person in the room is going to move and perceive the choreography differently so dance how you feel is right

- make sure to pay attention. I know there are a lot of people around you and a short amount of time to learn the combo so make sure that you stay focused and don’t get distracted

- bring plenty of water and a few small snacks. Staying hydrated if so important while dancing as well as not being hungry. Being dehydrated and hungry can make you tired and not feel well and that’s not helpful while you’re dancing
