Movie Review: I Saw the TV Glow

Thoughts: This movie was on my “To be watched” list since it came out. When I heard it was finally on Max via an article, I knew that I would be watching it the first chance I got. I sat down on my couch with a mug of apple cider and watched every single second of this movie.

I knew prior that the side of TikTok I was on said that it hinted to the aspect of gender identity, so I knew going in that there would be themes of that nature. However, towards the end was when I fully grasped what people on TikTok were hinting at. The return of one of the main characters. The chalk on the road. Then, the bathroom scene. That scene left me feeling understood. I don’t want to get into too many details about my gender journey, but the final scenes of the movie really got me. Kudos to the director and A24 for a great movie.
