Religion is not the same as God

Religion is a tricky topic.

Many only know God through a religion and through religion there have always been leaders who teach the ‘laws’ of religion and condemn you of sins.

Though, this very idea of these religious leaders judging you of sins, is contradictory to what God wanted. As Jesus said, we cannot begin to speak on the speck in someone else’s eye until we remove the log from our own. In other words, none of us are worthy to place judgement on others as each one of us have sinned. We are born sinners. We must accept our imperfections to be equal to one another. Not one single person is better than the other no matter what. Our perception of sin has been tampered with by this Idea that some people may be better than others. If you have lied even once in your life, you are as much a sinner as the rest. We must all humble ourselves to begin to see the true glory of God. I have NO right to tell you that you are sinning, nor place judgement upon you. In the same way, a religious leader should have no right to point out my sins in judgment. We are here to only spread the love of God to others and shed his light. When Jesus came, he condemned those who believed they were righteous. He then found all who believed they were unworthy, who believed they had sinned too much to be loved by God, and he told them just how unconditionally loved they were and how worthy they truly were. Religious law has in the past broken people away from God as it has harshly judged people and told them they are unworthy of the Love of God. Have you noticed the pattern? To this day, religion has turned people away from God. I hear time and time again, “ Believers are full of hate”. In the Bible, these hateful people were known as Pharisees and Rabbis. They were teaching laws instead of Love. If you didn’t follow the law, then you were not shown love. This is NOT what Jesus wanted. This is why his 12 Disciples were each sinners. This in itself was supposed to be a lesson of LOVE.

Religion has put this manifestation that believers of God are haters, judgers, and try to change who you are. NONE of us are worthy to tell you what your sins are. Come as you are. You are LOVED. You are WORTHY. God wants a relationship with each and every one of us.

God will break you free of your sins. HE alone will lead you to learn what your sins are and free you from them.

What does that mean?

I’m sure you have heard “ God Will condemn you of your sins”… well, I have found that God works in unbelievably graceful ways to do this so called condemning. I once had a bad binge drinking problem. When I built my relationship with God, I was freed of that problem. I became aware of this problem, asked God to help me break free, and one day I miraculously had NO urge to drink. I actually grew to dislike the feeling of being drunk and no longer wanted it. I have not been drunk since then. THAT was God condemning me of my sin. He showed me what was hurting me and then helped guide me to remove it from my life. Not once did I feel Hated by God, instead I felt Love, Grace, and healing. THAT IS THE TRUE LOVE OF GOD.
