Why are people so comfortable being fat phobic?

Okay y’all, so I recently saw this post of Miss Alabama being crowned for the year of 2024, and I couldn’t believe what I saw people saying in the comments. Actually I take it back I should’ve expected this kind of response. I just thought that since it’s 2024, we would have come so far from body shaming people.

If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all, that’s how I was raised and it’s such a shame to see people being so hurtful to this beautiful woman and tearing down her accomplishment because of how they perceive her. I don’t know this woman nor do I follow these beauty pageants, but I do know the treatment she received from this post is despicable and I hope as a society we can change our flawed views.
