My last visit to Nepal was very therapeutic

Living in US for last 3 years, I was constantly in a fight or flight mode. I was always scared of my words being misinterpreted into something I would never mean. I was getting quieter and losing my love for my work. Of course there were going to be a culture shock and of course they were going to help me grow. But the entire experience was bittersweet.

I visited my friends and family last December and I received lots of love from the place. This was what I was missing all along. I realized I was settling for the bare minimum in regards to inter-personal relationships I had built around me. I deserved this kind of love.

Now that I am back to US, I have started to become very picky about the people I want around me, and the ways I choose to spend time. The trip has given me a new perspective.
