Low prep outdoor play ideas for toddlers

Spring is upon us! That means warm weather is coming ☀️ Outdoor play gives kids the opportunity to explore & learn from nature. It’s both low cost & low prep. It also helps boost vitamin D to support a healthy immune system.

Here’s some of my favorites:

🎈balloon tennis: Just tape balloons to clear fishing wire & make a tennis racket out of a paper plate & wooden paint stick

🫧bubble wrap paint walk: This is super fun & a great activity for getting kids to get proprioceptive input to their bodies. (Propcrioceptive input is calming input or deep pressure to the joints) it’s also great for toe walkers

🍃 Sticky wall: The materials for this activity can be gathered on a nature walk. Use contact paper to stick leaves, sticks & pine on the paper. This is great for exposing kids to textured play
