WHAT to do | this weekend pt5🏺

Last December, my bf & I went to Clayable for a pottery-making workshop and we enjoyed every bit of it! They are located in the grandstand (yes, the building beside Chatuchak night market). We went on a Saturday evening and there wasn't anyone there so we had the whole studio to ourselves!! Here is our experience:

We started off by choosing our pottery design (the shape we are going to do), and then we proceeded to the pottery-making process!! The process was pretty tedious (ngl) but it is a good activity to train my patience. After a while, it does get quite therapeutic... Not to mention, the trainer was super patient and kept checking up on us to make sure we are doing the right thing🫶 (so that our final product is less prone to cracking)

After we were done with our masterpiece, we got to choose the colours for glazing (1 out of 8 glaze colours) & they will be sent for firing and glazing (which are both done by the trainers) When our pottery was finally complete, they sent us a Whatsapp notice after around one and a half months.

We were super happy with the end results!! None of our pottery cracked and they were super big (a lot bigger than expected🤧!! I tried pottery at other places quite a while back and the end product was tiny...) Super worth and fun experience!! The only downside is the place is a bit inaccessible (they do have shuttle bus services from some downtown line mrt stations - can check out their website for more info on the timings)

Overall, making pottery together with friends, family, or on a date is a super fun activity. It is a great way to connect and make memories with others! Additionally, you can also exchange your handmade pottery for memories.
