665 Degrees Fahrenheit is a steakhouse located on level 38 of Andaz Hotel and they specialise in prime meat. My bf & I went there for our Christmas dinner & here is how it went...

When we arrived it was raining heavily💧☔️ on that day and we were praying so hard that the rain would stop but it didn't..so there was literally no view

To start off, we were served w complimentary bread (very hard and dry☹️)

Next, the Amuse Bouche, which we were supposed to drink like shots: Sakoshi Bay Oyster Vichyssoise with Kaluga Queen Caviar

-- taste slightly fishy👎🏻and was p difficult to eat as the caviar would get stuck on the bottom of the shot glass

🦆Starter

Duck Rillettes: Cranberry, Marsala Jelly, Iranian Pistachios, Brioche

-- pretty interesting and definitely something new to me. the duck rillettes paired with the brioche taste a bit like duck sardines?? Together w the jellies, it was q nectarous and zesty.

🦞Entree

Boston Lobster with Winter Truffle: Celeriac Veloute, 5J Iberico Ham, Piedmont Hazelnut

-- this dish got us the most confused🤔...the lobster was a bit too charred which made it taste slightly bitter. We couldn't understand why the truffle was paired with ingredients that have such strong flavours like the Iberico ham (plus the bitterness from the lobster). We figured each ingredient would taste so much better on its own and we ate them separately.

Pira Oven Grilled A4 Kagoshima Wagyu Striploin:

Garlic Herb Mashed Potato, House Onion Ring, Bordelaise Sauce Chateau Simard

-- the steak was kinda tough and rare☹️ (we ordered medium rare). They are known to be a steakhouse and I thought it was pretty unacceptable to get the degree of doneness wrong...

-- special shoutout to the mashed potato tho!! it was super creamy and buttery, literally melted in my mouth and I'm in love w it😋😋!! the garlic herb also made it super flavourful (normally mashed potato can get rlly gelat but this one, I couldn't stop eating🤤!!)

🧀Cheese Course

Truffle Brie de Meaux

-- not a big fan of Brie (personal opinion but to me, it tastes like tires..) I thought the truffle on top was a weird touch🤦🏻‍♀️?? Not sure why the chef chose to put truffle on top of Brie as the flavours of the Brie were soo strong, I could barely taste anything else.

🌰Dessert

Mont Blanc, Candied Chestnut, Sour Cherry Gelato De Bortoli

-- this got to be my favourite among all the other dishes🥰! The sour cherry gelato (which tasted more like a sorbet) was refreshing and added a nice touch to the sweet and buttery mont blanc. The candied chestnut also added a slightly crunchy texture to the whole dessert! not sure if this is on their usual menu but it definitely took the star of the show!

Overall, considering the price, it was not worth it at all!! plus we were pretty unlucky to have the rain as our view. I was surprised to find out they had 4.3 stars on Google Review and would expect a higher food standard from them, especially the steaks since they are a steakhouse... I might still visit again to give them a second chance and try their steaks and hopefully, the view would be nicer the next time🤧
