Is yamada beancurd worth the hype? 🫨🫨

I bet most of yall have heard of yamada beancurd in JB! Literally a beancurd “store” that is from a foodtruck at the road side!

BUT IS IT REALLY WORTH THE HYPE?

I was there on a Saturday night at about 7.45PM thinking that it was dinner time so it wouldn’t have a long queue BUT I WAS WRONG… 🥲 I queued for about 30 minutes for beancurd (never knew i would queue so long to order a beancurd)… But anyways the menu have a variety of item to choose from & we decided to try the original beancurd, pandan beancurd and soya milk! The smell of the pandan is REALLY FRAGRANT & the uncle is really cute (he will pose for you if he sees you taking picture of him 🤣)

TO BE FRANK, other than the super smooth and silky texture, the taste is pretty NORMAL. Nothing really extraordinary from the super hype beancurd. The original one is really very decent~ The pandan is also very decent, not very strong pandan taste but smells very fragrant! I wouldn’t mind eating it again or try another item on the menu if there isn’t a long queue! And it is pretty affordable! BUT I wouldn’t queue 30 minutes again for this…. 😅😅
