Konjiki Hototogisu is a popular ramen restaurant chain that originated in Tokyo, Japan. This michelin-starred chain has since expanded globally and has several locations around the world, including a few in Singapore. I visited the one at Great World and hereβs my honest thoughts on it.
Black Spicy Ramen ($13.90)
The broth had a good kick to it - but it was not overly spicy. They were quite generous with the cha shu - there was a total of 5 pieces! However, the noodles were a little overcooked.
Deluxe Tonkotsu Ramen ($14.90)
The broth was really good - very creamy and the pork bone taste is strong. There is also a mix of normal cha shu and pork belly cha shu. The noodles was also overcooked.
Mixed Cha Shu & Soft Boiled Egg ($7.90)
We each wanted an egg with our ramen but it was $2 for an egg.. So we decided that getting this to share was more worth it! On second thought I would suggest you to just get the $2 egg and half it. The amount of meat we had was a little too much.
Overall, their broth is really good. If the noodles were cooked al dente it would have been perfect - but they overcooked both of our noodles. I donβt think I will be visiting again π¬
