To The Single Mama..

When we first separated, I hated the thought of being a single mother.

The word gave me the ick 🥴 Well more so embarrassment.

I didn’t want to have the title.

But, once I did - I learned how to embrace it and find strength it took to make sure my son has the best life possible.

There’s so much negative stigma around being a single mother when in reality we all have a different story. We all have different reasons why we became single parents. And it’s helped mold us into the powerful strong human beings we are 🫶🏼

Is it scary? Abso-freaking-lutely.

Is it easy? No not at all.

But I’m surviving. I am not 100% thriving yet, but I’m getting there. 👏🏽

I want to be the best mom I can be for him.

I know our family looks different but all that matters is he will have happy parents and gets to experience his best life no matter what.

I didn’t see it when everything first started and even now I still struggle with where we are, but l’m so grateful for my journey and the strength it’s giving me!
