Making this polo shirt into trendy top

Come and sew a trendy top with me using this old polo shirt I found in my closet. Just follow the steps and prepare the materials needed.

MATERIALS:

Sewing machine

Thread

Elastic thread

Garter

Scissors

Ruler

Pencil or tailor’s chalk

Polo shirt

Step 1: Measure and draw a straight line on the bottom part of the polo then cut it.

Step 2: Measure 12 inches from the bottom to top then make a straight line and cut it.

Step 3: Fold twice the upper hem and lower hem of the polo then sew it to avoid loose threads.

Step 4: For the shirred effect, draw 12-15 lines on the back part of the polo then sew it using an elastic thread.

For the sleeves part, follow these steps below:

Step 1: Cut the sleeves shorter and remove it from the polo then sew the raw hems of both sleeves.

Step 2: Get a garter then sew it on the upper and lower part of the sleeve. Pull the elastic while sewing to make it into puffed sleeves.

Step 3: Do the same process on the other sleeve.

Step 4: Attached now the sleeves on each side of the top by sewing it.
