I went for a colour analysis! ✨✍🏻 | In SG🇸🇬

Did you know that there are colour analysis services in SG? Now you do!! I went to @Style Forth to get my session done & it was so insightful!!

So first you'll fill in some questionaires to get a rough insight on which seasonal palette you are. By theory, your personality also plays a part in your analysis, autumn & winter palettes usually come with a stronger personality while spring/summer are more gentle. I scored highest on Winter followed by Autumn which is fitting. Your features can also determine your palette, people will stronger features (big eyes, sharp nose) tend to fall into autumn/winter while people with more delicate, softer features will be in the opp palette.

Next we compared two sets of palettes (cool winter vs warm autumn) & (cool summer vs warm spring) & found out that cool tones suit my skin better. We continued by going through various colours & different intensities. I found out that bright neon, pastels and light colours are really a no go for me as they make me look extra tired & my flaws are just enhanced😂😂🥲 i also can't pull off colours w grey undertones.

We also analysed fabric patterns & body shape. I'm an inverted triangle which i already knew so it was just a confirmation. I also can't wear big prints as it will look very overwhelming in me as my body is not that big. Off shoulders tops also enhance my wide shoulders so i should avoid those or pair them with wide palazzo pants.

For hair recommendations, i suit the cooler hair tones better & makeup wise, bolder & dark looks are better. My eyes suit darker eyeshadow & i can wear bold lips, which is what i already prefer so yay😂 we also went through face shape & glasses analysis. I'm a square shape & if needed, i should get glasses with thinner frames & smaller lens size.

I do think colour analysis is impt to know what colours complement you so you can always dress your best esp if you are client facing or someone who has to meet lots of impressionable people on a daily basis!
