just a human living life as someone with productivity anxiety (i.e a fear of not doing enough)….not sure if y’all feel the same way but I’m someone who would feel guilty when I find myself being super unproductive & sometimes it gets annoying bcs even when I rest I can’t do it in peace lol 🥲 am currently in my final uni sem + intern + taking up DJ gigs here & there, & interested in creating content ~~

1️⃣ TIME BLOCKING ✔️

probably by far the most helpful lol i basically schedule my time in blocks, dedicating each time slot to a certain activity/task - this helps me oversee how much time I actually have in the day & what’s it being used for, so I am conscious of how much time I’ve spent “being productive”. Once I’ve allocated my time, I’m able to fully focus on what I have to do within that time block since I know that I’ve allocated ample time for other things earlier!! The key is to avoid being distracted by other things and lock in fully on what you’re supposed to work on in that moment, else the work will never get done lol 😓 I normally do time-blocking a week in advance & plan my activities wayyy earlier, and just plonk everyth into my trusty apple cal HAHA its rly not hard trust. i also shift my time blocks accordingly if something else crops up!!

2️⃣ TASKS PRIORITIZATION ✔️

I have different tasks to complete for my different commitments most of the time (work stuff for internship, projects for school, song preparations & invoices for DJ, & topics I want to yap about for content), so I like to list down what I need to do so I won’t forget. I keep a notebook with a daily checklist for intern & only look at it during work time, while my personal (sch & DJ) stuff are listed in Momentum’s to-dos where I just check them off accordingly! It helps to separate them for me so I don’t get overwhelmed. After writing down everything, I can better visualise and take note of what’s more important to complete first 👍🏼

3️⃣ TAKING TIME OFF ✔️

rmb to take breaks!! i used to think breaks were a waste of time but after burning out multiple times I’ve finally decided to listen to my body & I had to say it was life-changing….I don’t feel as drained as I used to and were able to complete tasks more effectively (faster) so I can move on to do other things 🥳 these breaks can include doing absolutely nothing, or also something that allows you to destress! found that travelling did that for me but lol I won’t lie it’s not the cheapest way to destress 👀 have turned to scrolling tiktok & watching YT vlogs HAHA but they worked too soooo,,,

at least for me, the key to reducing my productivity anxiety was completing my tasks, and being aware of how much time I’ve spent being productive or not. but yet again, it could vary between people, & it’s good to explore different ways to manage your time before you get too burnt out !! manifesting everyone lives a stress-free life xoxo 🤞🏼
