Ingredient 1: 1 1/2 cups Sugar
Ingredient 2: 1/2 cup of water
Ingredient 3: 1/2 Karo Syrup
Detailed Steps:
-Clean, prep and pat dry your fruit of choice(grapes were used in the making of this video).
-Skewer your fruit using skewers or the long tooth picks so you down burn your fingers.
-After the fruit is prepped, place it in the freezer for at least 30 minutes (best after 3+ hour).
{The juicer the fruit the longer you should dry/freeze, ex.pineapple}
Once you are ready In a medium sized sauce pan, add ingredients 1-3, stir and set on a medium/high heat. Wait until the candy mixture reaches 300 degrees and turn to low.
-Tilt the pan using your non dominant hand and dip your skewered fruit in the candy mixture.
-Place on a lightly oiled parchment paper to dry/set
-Finally enjoy right away or place them in and airtight container into the freezer to until ready to serve.
Additional tips/notes:
Use a candy thermometer for easy temperature gaging or do the chopstick test and see if it harden in ice water (if it does, then itβs ready)
Optional**candy flavoring & pure white food coloring+color of choice
(I like to add the color on the beginning to get a vibrant color. Add the flavoring once it gets to 300degrees and you turn the heat to low.
