✨PROLONG the lifespan of your matcha whisk🍵

Traditional bamboo whisks are fragile and expensive so it’s all the more important to take care of them to extend their lifespan🤌🏼

Here’s how I take care of my matcha whisk from the moment it’s out of its packaging!

✨At the beginning of its life✨

The whisk comes with its bristles twisted into a knot in the middle and its ends curled on the outer ring — pretty, but you’re not gonna get any froth from that.

Bloom it in hot water for about 2-3 minutes and watch the bristles soften 😃 This process also helps remove any impurities! Give it a quick rinse after it blooms and you’re ready to whisk up your first cup of matcha 🫶🏼

✨Make this part of your routine✨

Subsequently, before you use your whisk, make sure to soak it in warm water for about 30 sec to loosen the bristles again. This is the main step that helps prevent the ends from breaking off as its too dry!

When whisking, ensure that the whisk isn’t touching the base of the bowl! This way, you’ll get better aeration for froth and keep the bristles from snapping off 😆

✨Caring for it even when it’s not in use✨

Finally, invest in a ceramic whisk holder!! It helps maintain the whisk’s shape while it dries after using.
