I have always wanted to give Sen-Ryo a try but the weekends reservation was always almost full and finally 2 months back, I managed to reserve a dinner slot for the hubs for his birthday.

The design of the restaurant was pretty luxurious looking and intimate. There were both bar seatings as well as table seatings in a small room.

We were given the seat at the small room which was great for us. The waiter was pretty attentive from the moment we sat down which was 💯

We ordered food both for individual as well as sharing.

Premium Sashimi Set | 4/5

It was fresh, the fish were slice nicely enough for you to savour it and not feel jelat or cut short of.

Chawanmushi | 4/5

I love my eggs and would order it whenever I have Japanese cuisine. The dashi used for this chawanmushi was really delicious and we couldn’t get enough of it.

Soft shell crab maki | 3/5

We find this alright, nothing too special about it.

It’s not a must to order!

Tempura | 4/5

The prawns was fresh and the dish was just so crispy and crunchy yet not oily. It’s a good appetiser to have!

Nothing special, it taste like what it should nice.

Premium Kaisen Irodori Don | 4/5

The hubs got this as his mains and love it. The variety in the don was just enough with the rice and uni was really yummy!

Australian Wagyu Sukiya | 3.5/5

The hubs love the broth but I find it a little bit too salty for me. The wagyu slices was sufficient for two to share, but felt that it was a little too thick to absorb the essence and flavour of the soup.

Overall, the dining experience was really great and affordable for the price. Would we wait 2 months for a seat? Maybe not. But, would love to try out their weekday lunch set 🤭
