Hi lemon8 babiess,,

Here are some tips on how you can help with your menstrual cramps; I struggle with really bad cramps till some days I feel like passing out or bawling my eyes out uncontrollably!!

First off, is yu yee oil!!!! This is my favourite minyak angin because I’ve been using this since I was a baby so it’s not only nostalgic but helps really well !! I love the smell and it doesn’t burn as much as other minyak angin’s I’ve used.. my skin is also extremely sensitive to certain oils and this helps/works the best.

Secondly is essence of chicken or chicken essence, there is no scientific proof that this helps with your menstrual cycle but it has good properties that can help you through this time. While all of use are usually pretty weak during our cycle, chicken essence is often used to boost energy and combat fatigue. It is believed to provide a quick burst of energy to the body and improve overall vitality.

Chicken essence has a very strong taste to eat and may not suit all likings however it does help me. To digest the drink, I do close my nose and drink down in one sitting.

Next off, is the heat packs!! I have one for my stomach and one for my back as I get really soar back during this time of the month. I’m not sure where I got the heat pack for my stomach however the heat pack for my back was purchased on shopee for an affordable price.

You may adjust the heat to your liking from 1-5, I usually keep it on 5 and it really really helps! However, I don’t recommend to sleep with it on for long hours as it’s electric and it’s not a safe option. Usually leave it on for 30 minutes to an hour then I turn it off for it to rest.

For the final suggestion is to take magnesium through out the month not only when your cycle is approaching!

Magnesium may help to reduce the severity of menstrual cramps by relaxing the muscles in the uterus and reducing inflammation. Some studies suggest that magnesium supplementation may help to alleviate symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), such as mood swings, bloating, and breast tenderness. Magnesium is involved in the regulation of hormones, it also plays a role in the production of serotonin.

Again, I’m not a doctor of any sort but these are the things that do help me and my cycle! Do take everything with a pinch of salt as not everyone reacts to everything the same. Do try it out if you please! 🤭

Lastly here are some things that you should try and avoid doing your cycle;

- Any form of caffeine..

Why ?

- causes anxiety which can exacerbate menstrual pain and discomfort

- it narrows your blood vessel, which can decrease blood flow to the uterus and again cause discomfort

- causes insomnia, which is not good as you need good rest during your cycle as your losing lots of blood

Instead of coffee or any caffeine try drinking drinks such as

- Warm water

- Raspberry tea

- Ginger water (boil ginger and a teaspoon of sugar) helps with the cramps and eases your menstrual flow !

That’s all from me for now!! <:

Just a reminder, even with all these there are months that the pain is unbearable but remember it’s okay and remember your not alone. <3 #menstrualcramp #menstrualcycle
