ULTIMATE pre-reno CHECKLIST 📑 | living & bedroom

Generally I don’t think that planning for living area and bedroom is as tedious and much of a headache than kitchen and bathroom.

In this checklist, we will focus on living area ✨ and bedroom 🛏️

Note that this list is not exhaustive and only serves as a kickstarter guide. You should research and read up more based on your living habits and how you envision your home to look like.

Other than the points mentioned in the pictures, here are some additional pointers to note:

✨ 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚

• determine the purpose and space of the area, do you want more space to host friends and family? Do you need more built in seating space such as settee? How do you envision the space to look like?

• decide on wall colours, paint or wallpaper options

• plan for additional electrical points

• plan for the ambience of your living area

• decide on the kind of flooring you want

• consider the need to conceal some areas such as bomb shelter and DB box

• consider the need for extra storage space

🛏️ 𝐁𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦

• decide on window treatments such as blinds or curtains

• decide if you need a built in wardrobe or even a walk in wardrobe

• choose wall colours that create smoothing atmosphere

• consider lighting fixtures and the option for dimmable lights

• decide on the flooring options

• plan for sufficient storage space such as extra dressers or closets
