ULTIMATE pre-reno CHECKLIST📑 | kitchen & bathroom

We wished we had a comprehensive checklist or even a guide on list of factors to consider before our renovation began. I believe there are resources out there but they are in bits and pieces, so we gathered and complied all these information and list of factors that you should consider for every part of your home! 😃

In this checklist, we will focus on kitchen 👩🏻‍🍳 and bathroom 🛁

Note that this list is not exhaustive and only serves as a kickstarter guide. You should research and read up more based on your living habits and how you envision your home to look like.

Other than the points mentioned in the pictures, here are some additional pointers to note:

⏲️ 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧

• determine your desired layout and functionality

• plan for adequate storage and countertop space

• decide on your kitchen appliances before you begin your renovation

• take note of the different types of kitchen cabinets, countertop and backsplash materials

• ensure proper ventilation in the kitchen if required

• ensure sufficient lighting fixtures and electrical outlet placements

• select flooring that is suitable for kitchen environment

🛁 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦

• decide how you want the layout of your bathroom to be

• ensure tiles are of anti-slip quality

• ensure proper waterproofing measures and drainage of water

• think about whether you need additional lighting points in the bathroom (e.g. smart mirror)

• select good quality bathroom fittings that are durable

• plan for where to place your bathroom fixtures

• decide whether you want to install safety film for shower glass
