Our 5 favorite scent finds! 😍

It’s not as simple as finding a reed diffuser, room spray, or ambi-pur at home! While places selling these things always smell ah-may-zing, you have to take into account that it’s under air conditioning! Unless you’re one of the people who turn on AC most of the time, just like us, you should be relying on open windows, cross-wind, and good ventilation to keep cool.

This makes finding a scent booster for the home very challenging! Those “passive” scent options are entirely (pun intended) out the window. Maybe save them for the toilets…

But here’s what we’ve found to work amazingly for HDB/open-window friendly homes!

✨Candles!✨

While any brand will do, i get very nauseated with Yankee Candle/Bath and Body Works personally. Frankly, any candles with artificial fragrances end up making me gag (and its bad for the kitties too!)

So my go-to brand is Hush (not sponsored! if only :() because it lasts really long, scent throw is out of thid world?? and the essential oils used are great! Love their basil blends.

✨Post-poo drops✨

Not for the open-window part of the house, but poo-drops are great for making your WC stay smelling FRESH.

Any brand has worked great so far with just 3-5 drops to form a film on the toilet water to prevent that wet-drain/poop smell. Also, placing it in the toilet, guests usually help themselves to use it and we appreciate that!

✨Essential oil burner✨

The photo shows a mini one but we do have a regular sized one!

Old school but works like a charm. Adds ambience too!

✨Essential oil nebulizer✨

In all honesty, ever since we got this, we always prefer it to the oil burner for its no-flame aspect.

For the oil burner, we always let the tea-light candle burn out and by then the water is always dried up and forms a sticky black film on the bowl. (Maybe we just need to get a bigger one…)

But this is also safer! If you have children or curious kitties, it gives you peace of mind.

✨Air purifier✨

We initially bought this for cat fur/fuzz in the air! But it didn’t work great for that. But we soon realized this worked AMAZINGLY for bad smells.

Haze? No problem. Weird smells? Yup. Bad smells? Byebye.
