is the hyundai seoul worth visiting?

decided to check out this new mall located near gangnam, seoul during my recent trip to korea and here are some of my thoughts!!

— the mall won design of the year award and it is honestly well deserved! the architecture of the building followed a mininalist and aesthetic design, the mall looks amazing at every angle and i was grateful i decided to drop by

— it is within walking distance to the hangang river (another tourist destination!)

cons

— the mall is basically a more aesthetic version of SG’s ION orchard mall. food located at basement > fast fashion for young adults > luxury goods all at the top. the young adult section was only on 1 level and the rest were luxury stores so there wasn’t much for us to do in the mall. we finished walking within 2 hours but allocated 6 hours to the mall so we left early…….

— the food selection was rather limited unlike other parts of seoul

we visited with the assumption that the mall was similar to myeongdong/hongdae so we allocated half a day to the hyundai and ended up leaving a lil disappointed.

visit if you

- intend on purchasing luxury goods

- have extra time to stop by during your trip

- are around the area
