My secret to keeping my hair RED for long 🫢

I’ve been wanting to share this for awhile now since so many people have been asking me how I keep my hair color looking so vibrant even though it’s been a month! So here are my tips on how you can keep your hair vibrant so that glow up lasts forever.

The trick is to invest in either a color depositing shampoo or conditioner. Whichever you choose, is dependent on your preference.

HOW DOES IT WORK?🤔

It works by depositing color pigments into your hair EVERYTIME you wash it. Because red hair bleeds very easily, the trick is to deposit the color back after it washes off! You’ll have to leave it on for a few minutes (10 mins for a shampoo, 15mins for conditioner) and then wash it off.

DOES IT WORK ON BLACK HAIR?😱

No, sadly it doesn’t. It only works on colored hair because the follicles have already been opened up previously through the hair dye. It may give you a tint depending on which color depositing product you use, but it’ll not be obvious.

WHAT I DID ✅

For my burgundy colored hair, I used the Yumikon rose red shampoo and I washed it like almost every single day. Idk I just can’t stand not washing my hair unless I stay at home the entire day because Singapore’s humidity is 👎🏻 anyways it worked because look at the 5th slide!! That was my hair after a month.

For my copper red hair, I mixed both the shampoo and copper colored conditioner like a scientist LMAO and it worked because the color was still vibrant after like 2 months (6th and 7th slides).

I’ve only tried three color depositing brands so far and I think these ones are on the better end! The miss dear one didn’t work that well for me… but keep in mind that Yumikon is on the pricier side. Keracolor is still very affordable! You can get them off shopee and Amazon respectively 👍🏻
