Matcha lovers you know why you stopped by my post today! 🍵 I made Dubai Chocolate Bar but with matcha version. I was thinking to buy pistachio nut butter but I was thinking.. will I like pistachio? Because I don’t know how it tastes like, never had it before and I was like oh wait.. how about matcha because I wanted to make matcha spread for long time and I think it’s a brilliant idea if you love matcha so matcha >_<‘ and then “where do I find Kataifi?” It’s pretty expensive looking up online so I was like okay I’ll just look it up how to make it at home and surprisingly it’s pretty easy so I wrote down my ideas.

Ingredients:

- Chocolate

- White chocolate

(I used chocolate almond bark which is okay but better use a real chocolate one)

- Matcha powder

- Butter

- Kataifi

- Matcha spread (or substitute with anything you like)

Instructions:

1. Shave or chop both chocolate into smaller pieces so it melt faster.

2. Start off with white chocolate, start double boiling by fill up water in saucepan and place a bowl on top (use low heat).

3. Mix matcha powder in white chocolate (don’t forget to sift it or it might be clumpy) stir, and decorate the mold. Then wait for it to cool down.

—> you can skip 2,3 if you don’t want to decorate it.

4. Then start melting a brown chocolate, double boil like white chocolate.

5. Take the mold out, after the white choc cooled down. Pour melted brown chocolate into the mold to make a shield. Then refrigerate to cool it down again.

6. Break or chop Kataifi into smaller pieces. Melt butter on pan and fry Kataifi (use salted butter)

7. Mix matcha spread with fried kataifi

(Kataifi will absorb the matcha spread)

8. Take the chocolate mold out and fill with kataifi matcha (don’t fill it all the way, leave space for the last chocolate layer)

9. Reheat the brown chocolate again and pour it on the mold for the last time then wait for it to cool down.

📒Notes:

1. I used “chocolate almond bark” (the kind that can go in microwave) and it’s not the right kind of making chocolate bars but it’s still okay to use. It’s just better with a real chocolate.

2. For “chocolate almond bark” you cannot mix it with any thing at all. No milk, no butter, no heavy cream anything. It will be RUINED. So for the last step if you want to make the surface smooth, don’t play with it too much it might mix with the filling and ruined that part. You can see in my 5th picture (the last one) where it ruined. So I do not recommend using this kind of chocolate. Before making this I just didn’t know the differences.
