Rüdesheim am Rhein

Take a half day trip out of Frankfurt City to the village of Rüdesheim of the Riesling region!

From Frankfurt HBF, tickets cost around €20 for a return trip. And takes about 1hr 20mins each way. Once arrived at Rudesheim HBF, it’s a short 10mins stroll to the village.

Must do list:

1) Ice Wine - expensive but must try!

2) Rudesheim Coffee - traditional Cafe Royale

3) Seilbahn - Open air cable car to the top of the hill; get to see the huge vineyard around the region and literally below you and also the scenic surroundings. €10 for 2 ways

For your return travel back to Frankfurt, I highly recommend you be at the HBF nice and early. Around 15 mins before the train’s arrival, as there can be quite a crowd.
