who would say NO to affordable cafe hopping in JB?! I have short listed some cafes tht are 10/10 worth your time and money, a MUST try! 🥰✨ Save this for your next trip to JB 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾

1️⃣ Dona Bakehouse

- Ate this 3 times & it's equally good all 3 times 💯 #consistent

-🚶🏻‍♀️Getting there: Walking distance (800m) from City Square

- 📸Aesthetics: Minimalistic style

- Crowd was okay, didn't have to queue for >10 mins

- This place is Halal Certified ☺️✨mainly sells western bfast & pastries! The rose latte definitely caught my attention, smth not too common!

- Overall Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️

2️⃣ Seven Oaks

- Tried it for the first time & would definitely be back for more 🙌🏻

- 🚖 Getting there: 8 mins drive from City Square

- 📸Aesthetics: European/ Castle Style

- No pork no lard, mainly sells pastry & wide range of varieties for mains as well!✨

- Overall Rating: 4/5 ⭐️

3️⃣ Lazy Monday

- Had it once & would be back soon !!i!🥹

- 🚖 Getting there: 5 mins drive from City Square (they have a few outlets, some nearer to Tuas Checkpoint)

- 📸 Aesthetics: Just look like a fast food+ restaurant but bigger and abit nicer w music

- This place is Halal Certified ☺️✨Mainly sells burgers, pastas and has a wide variety of fanciful drinks to choose from!

- Overall Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️

4️⃣ Keijometo

- Had it once only, may or may not be back agn bc it's kinda flooded by Singaporeans 😫

- 🚖 Getting there: 8 mins drive from City Square

- 📸 Aesthetics: Mainly the reason why I insisted on visiting this place, more for the aesthetics > food (1 of the many rare times); very nice place to get your OOTD photos taken

- No pork no lard, mainly sells matcha! The have a really extensive menu for matchas (such as strawberry matcha and different % of matcha to tailor to your likings) and pretty limited mains

⚠️**Note: READ THIS BEFORE GG, pls check the opening hours (they dont open everyday and sell food throughout the day), they only strt serving food at a certain timing & do not take reservations (ngl, the queue is pretty long but you can use this opportunity to take/ re-take pics), read the online reviews on google to set your expectations (way too many teas on how bad their service was, but thankfully we did not have to go through tht; I only strted reading while we were queuing bc we wanted to find out what are the top picks in this place)

- Overall Rating: 3/5 ⭐️ (for the aesthetics, matcha & sando only, the main wasnt my cup of tea)

5️⃣ Knoc Knoc

- Had it once and would definitely go back w my friends agn! 😍

- 🚖Getting there : 21 mins drive, 16km from City Square (but I can guarantee tht it's gonna be a worthy trip)

- 📸 Aesthetics: Cozy & homely vibes w good food 💯

- No pork no lard, they sell a very extensive range of main & sides (as seen in the pic) tht you'll definitely love ☺️ I really cannot emphasize how cozy the place is & everything we ordered was worth the $$ !!! They also had lavendar latte that I found quite unique & good 🥹!!

- Overall Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️

6️⃣ Woodfire

- Had it once and would definitely go back agn !💯

Tbh i can't tell if this / Lazy Monday was better, but I would definitely recommend this 2 places if yall are craving for GOOD burgers 🍔!!

- 🚖Getting there: 6 mins drive from City Square

- 📸 Aesthetics: Just look like a usual westerner's fast food restuarant but the food is the key here 😛

- This place is Halal Certified ☺️✨mainly sells burgers, ribs & sides! While they dont offer a huge variety of options, you'll definitely come back for more of the same thing 🤣 the juiceness of the patty and the softness of the bun is key in burgers (at least for me) & Woodfire's definitely met my expectations man 🙌🏻!
