Don’t be wishy-washy about this 🚿

Do you know that washing machines need regular cleaning? Otherwise, dirt, grime, and other yucky stuff can build up and cause some major odor and damage! 🥴

Here's a simple guide on how to clean your washing machine and keep it running smoothly!

🧽 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱:

- Microfiber cloth or sponge

- Nichigo Washing Machine Cleaner

- Shallow pan

🫧 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀:

1️⃣ 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿

Wipe down the outside of the machine with a damp microfiber cloth. Don't forget the knobs, buttons, and door.

2️⃣ 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘆

Remove the detergent tray and soak it in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry before putting it back.

3️⃣ 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿

Open the access panel in the lower front of the washer. Pull the drain hose carefully into the shallow pan and remove the plug from the hose, allowing the water to drain completely. Remove the pump filter and wash away the lint and debris.

4️⃣ 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁

Use the cloth to clean the seal and gasket around the door. These areas tend to accumulate grime and mold.

5️⃣ 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗮 𝗧𝘂𝗯 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗷 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗼 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿

Pour the washing cleaner (1 pack per use) into the drum. Set your machine to the tub clean setting and run a full cycle without any clothes. This will help break down soap scum and mold buildup.

💡 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻

- Always leave the lid or door open after each use to let the washing machine dry out.

- Use only the recommended amount of detergent to avoid buildup.

- Clean the washing machine at least once every six months.
