Once in awhile I make Kimchi Jjigae at home as a comfort food. 😋🇰🇷

Kimchi Jjigae recipe can be various depends on region you are from or per individual’s preferences.

My go-to Kimchi Jjigae recipe is something I can make easy at home with simple ingredients. 😋 Hence I would like to share my simple but delicious Kimchi Jjigae recipe.

For your information, I bought all the ingredients from Fair Price this time.

🍲 Recipe

➡️ 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 :

- Bibigo Kimchi, Richam, Garlic, Onion, Tofu

➡️ 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 :

- Bibigo Kimchi 500g,

- Richam half can means about 170g,

- 5 cloves of garlic,

- One whole onion,

- Almost 1 litre of water,

- 300g tofu x 2 so 600g of tofu

➡️ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 :

- Richam : cut into dice cubes

- Tofu : cut into dice cubes

- Onion : thinly slice

- Garlic : press the garlic with edge of knife and fine chop or mince it

➡️ 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 :

1. Add a bit of cooking oil to a pot and stir minced garlic

2. Add sliced onion and stir them together

3. Add 500g of Kimchi and stir them together

4. Once it starts boiling then add water

5. Let it shimmer

6. Add Richam

7. Stir the soup once in awhile

8. Add tofu at last

9. Let it boil 10 mins

➡️ 𝐓𝐢𝐩 : Soul taste better if you use rice washed water instead of normal water!
