Okay ladies lemme explain some more !!

Step 1: Low porosity hair is prone to build up! A clarifying shampoo should do the trick. I recently just started using the one above and i use it about once a month & wash every 2 weeks with a clean moisturizing shampoo!

Step 2: Like i mentioned, i was kinda nervous to use this mask due to someone referring to it as a protein mask. Low porosity hair HATES too much protein (learned the hard way.) I did a little more research & someone said there’s a good balance of moisture and protein so i risked it & im not too upset. I recommend a mask IF NEEDED every two weeks to a month. I felt my hair needed that extra love so i did it! I also want to mention that i used a heat cap after putting in each product & let that sit for 30 minutes. Low porosity hair loves heat & helps to lock in moisture!

Step 3: Like i mentioned my hair needed some extra TLC so i decided to do both a strengthening mask & deep conditioner. I really enjoyed this one a lot. I feel a deep conditioner is necessary any time u wash your hair. After applying the product I put on my heat cap (amazon for like 30 bucks) & let it sit for about 30 minutes.

Step 4: I used two leaves in’s. Kinky Curly & Mielle Mango & Tulsi. I once again used my heat cap for about 30 minutes and actually let it sit until the next day when i applied the gel. I feel a leave in is always necessary. It provides long lasting moisture & also helps with detangling!

Step 5: Girl for definition you need a gel, mousse, or styler cream. I prefer gel & i rlly enjoyed the Camille Rose. The back of my hair is a different texture & hair type than the front so i used the Camille Rose gel as well as the spiked honey mousse from their brand as well for the back of my hair. Let it air dry and stretched it before bed ! Results in the first pic.

📒Notes:

- Writing this with day 3 hair for this wash & go and the curls are still poppin. Definitely could use some frize control.

- Im no where near a professional but i’ve been on my natural hair journey since 2018 so i feel i have some good tips.

- Everyone’s hair is different and the unfortunate thing with curly hair is trial and error. I’ve wasted sm money on hair products simply just trying them out so i’m here to help the gals

- I am experiencing flaking. This is due to certain products not mixing well. I feel it could be the mousse OR using two leave in’s
