Unlike SG's black fried kway tiao, Penang's rendition goes lighter on the soya sauce but it's still equally flavoursome and boast an aromatic wokhey goodness, not forgetting essential ingredients like chinese sausage, bean sprout, fish cake and prawns. Mix in their homemade sambal for extra kick and savouriness.

When it comes to KL hokkien mee, the darker the better. I notice many zi char just spam the soya sauce without keeping in mind the saltiness but this was so good! The noodles were flavourful and savoury without being overwhelming with ingredients like cabbage, prawns and lots of pork lard for extra crunch. Xinful as it is, it's really satisfying.
π¬ TLDR: Highly recommend you guys to try if you are in the area! Authentic and delicious Malaysian-style dishes at nett prices despite the service and air-conditioned space. Nothing not to love about this eatery!
