Hotels in Japan 🇯🇵

Recently came back from a 13 days trip to Japan! There were 4 of us and we stayed 6 nights each in both Tokyo and Osaka and these are the hotels that we stayed at! We were really particular about the hotels (location, reviews, space etc.) and ofc the cost 💰💰 [pics are from google i didnt take any without our mess😭]

TOKYO:

📍 Address: Cocoshuku Asakusa Kuramae

🚆 Transport: 7 mins walk to Kuramae Station (Asakusa Line)

💴 Cost: Booked City View Room B for $460/pax for 6 nights ($76 per night) 💰💰

⭐️ Rating: 4/5

📝 2 single and 1 bunk bed (total 4 beds)

👍 Pros:

- Hotel has 2 toilets which are separated from the shower so 3 people can use the toilet at once 😦

- Has a sink outside the toilet so we could use the extra sink when the toilet was occupied

- Its quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, we were able to open 8 luggages together

- Each bed comes with its own charging port 🤩

- Big dining table where we could eat/do our makeup together

- Comes with a fridge, freezer, microwave and electric kettle

- Many convenience stores around us that are open 24hrs

👎 Cons:

- Quite a far walk from the nearest train station and can be creepy to walk alone at night

- Only 1 lift that takes vv long to come (esp bc we stayed at the highest floor)

- Pillow was super FLAT all our shoulders hurt after waking up 😐

- No housekeeping and it's an unmanned hotel so if you had any issues, you would have to contact the hotel through your booking platform

- Check in was strictly at 3pm 😣 we waited 2 hours with our luggages camping outside the hotel bc we had nowhere to wait

OSAKA:

📍 Address: Plum Hotel

🚆 Transport: 5 mins walk to Daikokucho Station

💴 Cost: Booked Superior Twin Room for $206/pax for 6 nights ($34 per night) 💰

⭐️ Rating: 4.5/5

📝 2 Queen size beds

👍 Pros:

- Had a huge lobby where we could put our luggages before check in timing and after check out

- Hotel staff could speak some basic english, communication wasnt an issue

- Way bigger than we thought, could open all 8 of our luggages at a time (skills fr 😆)

- Hotel provides luggage forwarding services (ta-q-bin) so its rly convenient if you're travelling to multiple cities!

- Comes with a fridge and kettle

- The toilet at the lobby was solid and v clean

- 1 stop from Namba Station (Dotonburi)

👎 Cons:

- Sink was in the toilet, not accessible when it's occupied

- Not much personal space as the room was quite compact

- Not enough charging ports (literally used so many multiplug sockets literal fire hazard 😭)
