Wondering what to do with your next free day? This epic waterfall day trip stops by 4 of the most stunning waterfalls near Nashville!
Stop 1: Burgess Falls State ParkBurgess Falls
Take the River Trail from the main parking lot to see four different waterfalls in one stop! The trail ends at the crown jewel: Burgess Falls. 1.5 miles out-and-back, easy to moderate.
Stop 2: Ozone FallsOzone Falls
Just off of I40, take a short but steep hike down to the waterfall and take in the clear blue water. 0.3 mile out-and-back, moderate (just due to steepness).
Stop 3: Fall Creek Falls State ParkFall Creek Falls
While there are no shortage of views in this state park, the most jaw-dropping is found at Fall Creek Falls. Walk from the parking lot to the overlook (easy) and/or take the hike down to the base to get the full effect. 0.8 mile out-and-back, moderate (just due to steepness).
Stop 4: Greeter FallsGreeter Falls Waterfall
Home to Greeter Falls and Blue Hole. Take the trail directly to the falls (1 mile out-and-back) or do the full loop to see all the stops. 3.5 mile out-and-back, moderate.
Total drive: 5hrs 45mins / 330 miles
I know that may sound crazy for one day 🤯but the stops are timed perfectly around and hour from each other. And the trails at the stops are short, so you can do this in a total time of 8 hours! Which leaves some space to hang out at each spot longer if you have the time.
