3 Red Flags in Dating 🚩🚩🚩

Let’s talk about red flags. They’re always easy to see in someone else’s relationship but much more difficult in our own! As someone who is now happily married but was previously in a very toxic relationship, I’d love to impart some of my experience and knowledge on those of you in the dating world in hopes that you can learn from my mistakes without actually having to make them.

REG FLAGS:

🚩Puts his parents before you. I’m sorry, but a mature, adult relationship requires putting each other first. Any man who expects his partner to go along with his parents or sides with his parents in any conflict isn’t ready to commit and put his own future family first (imo). I’m so glad that even though I do struggle with my in laws, my husband always has my back!

🚩Tries to control what you wear. My ex used to get SO mad when I wore things that he felt were too revealing. While I always do try to respect my partner with what I wear, I’m not on earth to accommodate someone else’s controlling nature. I never intentionally dress for male attention, but I’m not going to hide my personal style either! Look for a man who respects you and gives you room to be yourself.

🚩Loses his cool when he’s upset. This is one of the biggest red flags. Fights happen, people get upset, but there is a huge difference between articulating your feelings and taking them out on others. Look for someone who can communicate how he feels and who fights well- without the theatrics of screaming, insults, slamming doors, etc.
