If you didn’t know..

UrbanCompany is a company that does housecall massages, home cleaning, mani pedi, pet grooming and aircon servicing.

Woke up today and am just in a mood to get a massage but I didn’t want to leave my house because lazeeeee so I remember UC because I have always seen their ad on Facebook.

Immediately went and downloaded the app.

Process —

App was easy to use, clear price, clear options. Choose what you want and the timing. I booked 2 hours in advance and that’s like daaaamn last min booking and I love it. 😂

I chose the Deep Tissue massage and with platform fee = $81 for 60 mins session.

What I liked about it —

Convenient! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Masseuse literally bought a bed and disposable underwear and towel. All prepared.

Whole experience —

1. She just massages.

My neck area was abit stiff and usually when I go for massage, some sort of advise will be given like “oh, your here is quite stiff maybe is because you hunch down often that’s why it caused this. This is what you can do etc….” To somehow give their expert advice on what can be done. She didn’t until I asked.

I do think maybe it was kind of an expectation of mine cause literally every massage place I go to, they kinda tell which area is more stiff and give some advice.

Or maybe she just doesn’t want to disturb me so no advice was given. Hahaha.

2. When she was massaging, she did not ask once if I was ok with the pressure. And when I said it was painful, she said that deep tissue has more pressure, if want lighter can choose swedish next time.

And when she does my neck area, I say pain, she say you where also pain 😅😅

It wasn’t a bad comment but I do feel it is partially due to the tone that was used to make the comment.

BUT. What I really liked was that she came half an hour earlier to set up 👍

Despite all, I wouldn’t say it was bad experience. We did small chit chat after all that. Her skills were not bad. Just the service I thought could have been better to make it a more pleasant experience for me.

Would I book it again?

Probably 70% yes still since now that I know roughly what I’m getting. More on convenience, skills and perhaps less on service? Or it’s probably a one time thing and that my next experience would be better.

If you are thinking of trying, I still think you should! To have app that can literally do a house call and get a message/nails/cleaning in 2 hours or next day, definitely worth trying 🤗
