Pose Ideas for your next photoshoot! 📸

I always think that coming up with an outfit for a photo is usually not the hardest, but when it comes to poses I find that incredibly difficult in the moment. Sharing some of my go-to poses for photos here!

Pose Idea 1: Play with hair

Do something with your hair! I think this is a classic for a lot of people, especially you also want to look natural in the photo. If your outfit does not have pockets this hand placement is perfect for that and when the weather gets slightly windy it helps you be more natural with the pose too!

Pose Idea 2: Cross legs & Rest your arms naturally

For sitting down you want to appear as relaxed as possible and maybe elongate your figure a bit more since you are not standing up to showcase your entire outfit. I like to extend my arms as much as I can without looking awkward to add more silhouette to the photo. For my legs I cross them to add more character to the overall photo.

Pose Idea 3: Hand in Pocket

This is a no brainer one - If your outfit has pockets use them for photo opp! This pose adds some waistline to your whole outfit. Sometimes If I don’t have a bag to hold I put both hands in my pocket to look more edgy in the photo.

Pose Idea 4: Step up on Staircase & look down

If you are taking a photo next to a staircase - step up a level to emphasize your shoes and accessories. This will also make you appear taller visually too! I love doing this when I am wearing a pair of statement shoes.
