cracking the lemon8 algorithm 🤯

trying to nail that lemon8 algorithm? here’s my tips on how you can get consistent >100 likes on your posts 😝

1. 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚

at the start of my lemon8, i was just posting for fun so after my first post, i stopped posting for 2 months then came back and decided to post 3-4 times a week as i noticed my posts started picking up steadily in terms of engagement with regular postings 🫡 logically, it makes sense bc personally, i only follow creators that post regularly so i can keep up with their new content 👍

2. 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚

posting regularly does not mean you should be posting just for the sake of churning out content ‼️ it’s impt that your content resonates with your readers & that they actually care about it. my tip would be to think about the content YOU follow, and think about what it is about the content that draws your attention to it

always rmb: quality > quantity! 💖

3. 𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒔

unlike tiktok which i think hashtags don’t matter bc my tiktoks might pick up in terms of engagement even without hashtags, for lemon8, HASHTAGS MATTER 🫨🫨

the reason why i think hashtags is impt for lemon8 is bc they run campaigns all the time, and they promote these campaigns heavily. so readers that are interested in these content can easily find content on topics that they are interested in just by searching the hashtags

4. 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 🕝

honestly i post any time that is convenient to me, and i don’t see the difference in performance for my posts regardless of the timing. timing doesn’t matter

5. 𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏📍

however, compared to timing, it seems the location in which i publish my posts matters. lemon8’s platform is highly localized, so if u think about it, when you scroll your feed, it’s all singapore content 🇸🇬 when i post while overseas, it seems my content don’t generate much traction. so personally, i only post when i’m back in sg, even for my travel content 🤣
