Embracing my mom and dad's love

It was 11.30pm and I was violently craving Korean fried chicken. There was nothing similar at home, there was chocolate, yoghurt, but none of that crispy flavourful goodness. I was in despair.

But right then, my dad took the matter to his hands. He went out to the closest 24hr NTUC nearby and got the frozen chicken, with my mom's help in choosing the right flavour that I was craving. She also helped to heat up the air fryer, so that the air fryer was ready for cooking the moment my dad arrived home with the chicken.

And then it was 12am. I had hot Korean fried chicken to eat. It was the most delicious, scrumptious, Korean fried chicken I've had in a while.

And a few days later, even after I've already gotten over my Korean fried chicken craving, my dad got more of the same frozen chicken for me.

I've been having disagreements with my parents recently, but it's the little things like this that reminds me of how they are trying to love me the best they could, in their way. It's not easy to forgive and forget or give in, but at the end of the day, it still acts as a reminder that everyone is trying the best they can and to stay hopeful things will get better.
